Description

Summary: Manage and assist golfers in maintaining the proper pace of play set by the golf course.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Provide excellent customer service to all customers, members, guests and staff.
• Be familiar with standard scripts, such as greetings, procedures/protocols and responses.
• Understand the golf course Pace of Play Policy and monitor/enforce when needed.
• Keep accurate record of course activity by using Pace of Play worksheet.
• Communicate with the Starter for group starting times and cart numbers.
• Assist golfers when needed.
• Assist the Starter and Outside Service Assistant with golf carts when needed.
• Keep Player Assistant cart clean and gassed.
• Be knowledgeable to answer questions regarding course details, including length, slope/rating, etc.
• Paint hazard lines on golf course as directed by Manager.
• Fill divots on course during slow times.
• Communicate any course concerns to the management staff.
• Maintain good personal hygiene and appearance.
• Perform other Park District related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibility.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Minimum high school graduate or equivalent or having worked around a golf course. Customer service experience preferred.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Internet software and PC computers. Ability to learn the POS System and basic to intermediate knowledge of MS Office is a plus.
